We are recruiting to our supported living settings across Cornwall. You’ll join our friendly teams, enabling people with learning disabilities to increase their independence; there’s lots of variety. We provide support to people living individually or in a small group in their own homes. They are all unique in their interests, preferences, abilities and needs; all being involved in as many of their day-to-day choices and decisions as possible.
Although some of the care we provide is complex, individuals live very fulfilled lives and enjoy accessing their community to do the things they enjoy an need, whilst maintaining relationships that are important to them. You’ll support individuals in all aspects of daily living; from cooking to managing finances. Supporting people with their personal care and medication needs is also key.
You’ll need good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. Respectful of people’s differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. You don’t necessarily need experience as we provide full training.
All support workers work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to the people we support. A full, manual driving licence is essential for these roles.
The salary for this role is £18,576 - £19,163 pa pro rata (£9.50 - £9.80 per hour), dependent on qualifications & experience.
All Support Workers have the option of working additional hours or sleep-ins in a range of services and are paid £50-£70 extra per sleep-in.
