Job Description

Marketing Manager

(Mon-Fri, 37.5hrs/week, flexible working possible)

Working from home in 2022. Required to attend company meetings at regular points throughout the year - we have an office in Victoria off the A30 which you are able to access whenever.

Finest Retreats is a holiday lettings agent focused on delivering a five-star service to our cottage owners and guests. We’re a small, friendly team who work incredibly hard to deliver bookings and also organise changeovers and maintenance with a brilliant housekeeping team too.

We consistently outshine the competition, have achieved glowing reviews from both guests and owners and have provided a flexible approach that’s allowed our owners to stay in control.

We pride ourselves on being genuine, friendly, and approachable whilst offering an efficient and excellent service. We believe it should be easy for owners to let their properties in a hassle-free way without penalties or restrictions, and that it should be easy for guests to get great service and fantastic hassle-free holiday experiences.

Thanks to our continued growth and regular referrals from existing owners we are looking for a new Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts to promote the properties and recruit new owners.

You will have at least 3+ years of digital and direct marketing either agency-side or in-house. You will know the importance of tracking, reporting and ROI as well as an astute knowledge of all the tactical marking channels both online and offline. You’ll be adaptable and commercial – setting up landing pages and a PPC campaign one day and optimising SEO the next. Always with an eye on working on whatever is going to create the most impact.

Knowledge of the travel industry would be a big advantage but not a necessity – you could have worked for a company in any sector where direct marketing was an integral part of the business. Knowledge of Hubspot (or other CRM) would be advantageous. You’ll certainly know your way around an Excel spreadsheet.

Working from home (you’ll be required to attend office/get-togethers once every now and again), you’ll need a fast broadband connection and be happy and self-motivated enough to work remotely.

You’re the first in-house Marketing Manager so you will be expected to lead the marketing function as this young business starts by getting the basics working well before leading the longer-term marketing strategy. It's an incredible opportunity for someone to take a career step forward, take on the entire marketing responsibility and recruit your own team as the business grows.

The main tasks include (but are not limited to):

  • Creating and managing weekly marketing reports as well as using Google Analytics.
  • Management of Google PPC campaigns.

  • On-page and off-page SEO management.

  • Managing email marketing campaigns to guests and prospective owners.

  • Owning the relationships with third party advertising websites and growing the bookings from these accounts.

  • Growing our social presence (paid and organic) and working with influencers.

  • Managing marketing agency relationships.

As the company continues to grow so will the opportunity to develop your skills, grow with the business and demonstrate your leadership over the marketing function.

  • Flexible working hours: 37.5 hours per week.

  • Salary depending on experience

  • 32 days holiday per year.

  • Your birthday off.

  • Extra day’s holiday per year of service.

  • Laptop & phone provided.

Please send your CV and a short cover letter (can be in the email body) to with the subject: ‘Marketing Manager’.

In your cover letter, please answer the following:

  • Your favourite UK holiday cottage.

  • Your salary expectations.

Any applications strictly not following these instructions will not be considered.
